Today we felt like real RV-ers! Our rig had been winterized by RV dealership and it was time to de-winterized and get all the tanks clear and ready to use! To store our RV through the winter and in below freezing temperatures you have to fill the water line with a non-toxic pink antifreeze solution. It’s a very smart thing to do but it means you can’t use any water until to clear it all out. RV parks have bath houses available to use as an alternative but we were excited to be able to use our RV shower and use our toilet at long last! It was nice to finally use the fancy equipment we got for Christmas.
Flushing everything took a very long time and but we finally got on the road in the late afternoon. 6 hours to drive to make it half way to New Orleans.
We stopped for gas in Alabama at a Pilot/Flying J which is a very popular truck stop chain. We enjoyed a fancy dinner at Dennys. Deven has been dying to take me to a Dennys for a while now and couldn’t resist the chance. Our server Quinton was very excited about our trip and chatted with us for a long time about New Orleans and Mardi Gras.
We stayed the night in a Walmart parking lot.
We announced Rumple’s passing on facebook along with so many pictures of him.
