Drove 4 hours to arrive at Parnell Creek RV Park in Alabama. Discovered lack of cell service and wifi. Regretted everything. I introduced Deven to the 1967 version of the Producers. His Review: “I liked it.”

Day 8 – February 14th – New Orleans
Happy Valentines Day! We got all fancied up and ventured into the French Quarter for the last time. We look some photos to show off my dress. Deven and I stopped some shots and ran into another photographer who was walking around. He asked to take a couple of shots with me. He was very lovely and I felt like a real model. We gave him a card so hopefully those shots will see the light of day. We arrived early for our dinner reservation at G.W. Fins. The host recommended we get a drink across the street at a bar called French 75. It was a lovely 1920s themed…

Day 7 – February 13th – New Orleans
Happy Mardi Gras! We had another cool day today so I was excited for an opportunity to wear my vintage trousers. Thanks to my costume designer friend Sheila who hemmed them perfectly before we left! We drove into a neighborhood boarding the French Quarter and got a parking space really quickly. Many thanks to the parking fairy. We walked through so many neighborhoods and so many block parties. It was insane! So many amazing costumes and hoards of people! We meant to get a costume together but we never got around to it. Boy did I feel under dressed! We got a table at the famous Café du Monde and…

Day 3 – February 9th – Alabama –> New Orleans, Louisiana
Today is a long 6-hour drive to our park in New Orleans! Listening to podcasts and chatting on our way. We started listening to Serial. This is Deven’s first listen and my 3rd so I’m enjoying hearing his theories and about whodunit. If you haven’t heard Serial yet I have nothing more to say to you. The weather got increasingly warmer and we were delighted to see a forecast of 70 degrees. We pulled into Jude Travel Park of New Orleans at 6pm. The owners were incredibly nice and helped us back into our space. The park was small park and very full but the people are friendly. It was…

Day 5 – Feb 10th – New Orleans
Hello French Quarter!! What a long awaited and exciting day for us going out and do things! Today was my first Outfit of the Day! I thought it appropriate to wear my harlequin print skirt. Our RV park shuttled us into the French Quarter around noon. We walked down so many different streets and looked at so many funky shops. Deven, who is a genius, packed a backpack full of ice and beer to drink all day. We walked down burbon street which was very crazy busy but had a fun drunken energy. I was won over by a very expensive strawberry and peach Daquri. We stopped for lunch at…
